Chris Mayoh

Chris is an award-winning educational technologist, international keynote speaker and independent consultant working alongside schools, colleges and other organisations to inspire students and teachers to embrace new technologies to revolutionise learning opportunities in and out of the classroom.

As well as providing expert consultancy to schools in the UK and internationally, Chris also works part time as Computing Leader at Fagley Primary School, Bradford. This allows Chris to ensure the support he provides to other schools is based upon sound evidence of success in a current education setting; he is not preaching theories, but spreading excellent practice.

He has delivered keynotes, breakout sessions and workshops at conferences across the UK and to global audiences at online events.

Fagley Primary School

Chris is currently Computing Leader at Fagley Primary School, Bradford, supporting the school to embrace the new Computing Curriculum and to raise the profile of new technologies for learning across the curriculum. He is teaching students across the primary age range and supporting class teachers and support staff to embed the use of new technologies into lessons across the curriculum.

The International School of Moscow

In 2013-14, Chris was ICT Development Coordinator (Head of ICT Department) and Student Leadership Coordinator at The International School of Moscow, Russia, and spent his time working with students, teachers, school leaders and members of the Board of Directors to overhaul the learning technology provision throughout the school. From direct class teaching (across EYFS to KS4) to staff training, policy implementation to parents’ information sessions, Chris was responsible for the rapid improvement in the use of technology for learning.

The Curriculum Innovation Team

From October 2011 to July 2013, Chris was seconded to the role of Curriculum Innovation Consultant with the Curriculum Innovation Team, City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, where he was responsible for providing strategic leadership support to schools wishing to embrace the use of new technologies. He also devised and delivered a hugely successful student Digital Leaders project, which was rolled out to sixty Bradford primary and secondary schools.

Bowling Park Primary School

Chris spent five years at Bowling Park Primary School, Bradford, as ICT Development Manager, during which time he introduced a school radio station, a new pupil tracking system, blogging across all KS1 and KS2 classes, a 1:1 iPod Touch project in Year 5, a whole school iPad rollout, Digital Leaders and much more. He provided staff training, workshops for parents and taught across the whole school.

Chris has also previously been ICT Coordinator at Penarth Group School, Stockport, as well as supporting ICT developments at Medlock Primary School, Manchester, and Gorton Mount Primary School (now Gorton Mount Primary Academy), Manchester.

He was involved in the birth of the worldwide Digital Leader Network, has been a staff governor at Bowling Park Primary School, Bradford, a community governor at Calder High School, Mytholmroyd, and a management committee member at The Trades Club, Hebden Bridge.
